Frequently asked questions.

The shortlist below covers most of what people write in about. If we've missed yours, drop us a note — we reply within a day.

  • Therapy reaches the cognitive layer — what happened, why, and how it shaped you. Tuun is built for the autonomic one — what your body does with that load when it can't discharge it. They pair well; Tuun is not a replacement for therapy.
  • Meditation apps assume you can sit still. Tuun is designed for the moments you can't — when the freeze is on, when you've closed the laptop, when nothing else feels accessible. Five to seven minutes, somatic-first, then one tiny behavioral move.
  • Productivity systems assume you can start. The whole point of functional freeze is that you can't. Tuun is built for that moment — not for the version of you who already has it together.
  • Yes — and that's part of the point. Functional freeze hides behind looking fine. Most members find Tuun specifically because the depression frame doesn't fit what they're actually living.
  • Most members notice the masking gap softening within the first two weeks — the small daily ones add up faster than the dramatic interventions you've already tried. Behavioral activation typically lags the somatic shift by about three weeks.
  • One 60-second somatic interrupt. One tiny behavioral move. Five to seven minutes total. That's it. The structure is the product; the daily decision is what we take off your plate.
  • Three plans. $13/month billed annually ($156/year), $19/month billed monthly, or $249 lifetime — one payment, access for as long as Tuun runs. Full details on the Subscription page.
  • Yes. Monthly cancels at the end of the cycle. Annual is refund-protected for seven days. EU/UK consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Cancel inside the app, by email, or via the App Store / Google Play if you bought through them — no streak guilt, no surprise renewals, no friction loops. Full cancellation steps here.
  • Lifetime is refundable within seven days if you haven't made substantial use of it. Monthly and annual plans are non-refundable for past billing periods, but you keep access through the period you've already paid for. We issue discretionary refunds for duplicate charges, billing errors, and edge cases — just email hello@usetuun.com.
  • Tuun is mobile-first, designed for daily use on your phone. Both iOS and Android are supported. You can also access your daily card on the web at app.usetuun.com.
  • Sign in at app.usetuun.com, open account settings, and select Delete account. Reflections and quiz answers are removed from active systems immediately; backups expire on standard rotation. You can also email hello@usetuun.com from your account email and we'll handle it manually.
  • Quiz answers are encrypted at rest, never sold, and only used to match your daily-card sequence. Free-text reflections are private to your account. Full details in the privacy policy.
  • No. We do not use your reflections, quiz answers, or any account data to train third-party AI models. We use AI internally to help match content sequences and to assist support; that processing is governed by the same protections in the privacy policy.
  • Tuun is designed to be gentle, slow, and titrated — the daily moves are small on purpose. That said, Tuun is a wellbeing product, not a clinical tool, and it is not a substitute for trauma-specialized care. If you are in active treatment for trauma, mention Tuun to your clinician and follow their guidance. See the full wellness disclaimer.
  • We design with screen readers, keyboard navigation, and reduced-motion preferences in mind, and the daily-card format is short by design. If something isn't working for you, email hello@usetuun.com and we'll prioritize the fix.
  • Gifting isn't self-serve yet. If you want to give a year or a lifetime to someone, email hello@usetuun.com and we'll set it up manually.
  • Yes — we work with a small number of clinicians, somatic practitioners, and coaches who recommend Tuun to clients. Email hello@usetuun.com with "Practitioner inquiry" in the subject line.
  • Tuun is not a crisis service. If you are in crisis or believe you may be a danger to yourself or others, please contact 988 (US/Canada), Samaritans 116 123 (UK & IE), Lifeline 13 11 14 (AU), or your local emergency services.
