Privacy Policy

Last updated

This Privacy Policy explains how Radiant Technologies L.L.C-FZ (“Tuun,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our websites, use our app, take our quiz, or otherwise interact with the Service.

We’ve tried to write this without legal padding. The structure follows what regulators ask for, the language is the plainest we could keep it.

1. Information we collect

We collect personal information in three ways.

You give it to us. When you create an account, take the quiz, subscribe to a plan, contact support, or submit reflections inside the app, we receive what you tell us. This may include: your name, email, age band, country, the answers you give in our quiz, free-text reflections you choose to share, support messages, and payment details (handled by our payment processor — see below).

Your device sends it. When you visit our site or use our app, we automatically receive: IP address, device type, operating system, browser, app version, language, time zone, referrer, pages and screens viewed, in-app actions, and cookie or device identifiers. See our Cookie Policy for the specifics on cookies and similar technologies.

Third parties pass it to us. Our payment processors confirm transactions. App-store platforms (Apple App Store, Google Play) tell us about purchases and refunds. Analytics and advertising partners (e.g., Meta, Google) may pass attribution data when you arrive from one of their platforms.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not collect special-category data (health diagnoses, racial or ethnic origin, biometric data, etc.) and we ask that you do not include such data in free-text fields.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide, operate, personalize, and improve the Service (including building your daily plan from your quiz responses and ongoing activity);
  • process payments, prevent fraud, and manage subscriptions and refunds;
  • communicate with you about your account, the Service, and support requests;
  • with your consent or as otherwise permitted by law, send marketing emails about Tuun and related programs;
  • measure, analyze, and improve the performance of our marketing, including by sharing limited information with advertising partners (you can opt out — see Section 6);
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

If you live in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with a similar regime, we rely on the following lawful bases under the GDPR / UK GDPR: performance of a contract (operating your account and delivering the Service); legitimate interests (improving the Service, securing it, and reasonable analytics, balanced against your rights); consent (marketing emails, non-essential cookies); and legal obligation (tax, accounting, responding to lawful requests).

3. How we share your information

We share information with:

  • service providers who run our infrastructure, payments, analytics, customer support, and email delivery — under contracts that limit them to processing data on our behalf;
  • app-store platforms (Apple, Google) when you transact through them;
  • advertising partners (e.g., Meta, Google) for measurement and audience matching, in line with your consent and the controls in Section 6;
  • professional advisors (lawyers, auditors) where reasonably necessary;
  • regulators, courts, and law-enforcement when required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety;
  • a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets — under terms consistent with this Policy.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

4. International transfers

We are based in the United Arab Emirates and we work with service providers around the world. When we transfer personal data outside your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

5. How long we keep information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward to handle refunds, comply with tax and accounting obligations, defend against claims, and meet other legal requirements. Free-text reflections are deleted shortly after account deletion, with backups expiring on standard rotation. Aggregated or de-identified data may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • delete your information (the “right to be forgotten”);
  • port your information to another service;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where we relied on it (this won’t affect the lawfulness of past processing);
  • opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (California CCPA/CPRA and similar US state laws);
  • lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@usetuun.com from the email associated with your account, or use the in-app data controls if available. We’ll respond within the time limits set by applicable law (typically 30 days; sometimes extendable).

You can also: turn off marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing message; manage cookies via the consent banner and your browser settings (see Cookie Policy); and limit ad-tracking via your device’s system settings (e.g., Apple’s App Tracking Transparency, Android’s Ad ID controls) and the opt-outs operated by the Digital Advertising Alliance, Network Advertising Initiative, and European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect your information — encryption in transit, access controls, vendor due diligence, logging, and routine review. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

8. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

9. Region-specific notes

California residents. Under the CCPA/CPRA, you have the rights described above plus a right to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. The categories of personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of recipients are described in Sections 1–3. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of California residents under 16. To submit a request, email hello@usetuun.com; you may also designate an authorized agent.
